PTI June Blog Hop

I just have to say that I had every intention of posting this for the Blog Hop, but being on vacation and having a house full of family, it totally slipped my mind.  I just remembered tonight, so thought I would post it now anyway, since it was all done!
Also, my granddaughter Ellie will be playing tomorrow for the CHAMPIONSHIP  in the 14 and under Volleyball Tournament in Phoenix AZ.  There are 140 teams in her age division, so to be first or second is a great accomplishment!
Goodnight friends!

I can't believe the JUNE BLOG HOP is upon us!
I used the striped vellum pattern paper and embossed my flowers using some zing ep.
Sorry for the not very clear picture!
Blog hop inspiration
Here is the inspiration piece!  I placed my vellum over smokey shadow card stock, added my sentiment on a rustic white tag to get the cream color.  Those are such cute little shoes, I can just imagine a sweet little thing wearing these shoes and dancing and twirling around!

I'm Leaving...on a Jet Plane...but I do KNOW where I am going!

Hello Friends!
It is going to be a very quiet three + weeks here on my blog.
DH and I are leaving for HOT Scottsdale AZ this morning and will be there for 9 nine days,
from there we fly directly to Spokane WA and drive over to Idaho and spend two weeks on Lake Coeur d'Alene!
And of course the whole family comes with us!
So 12 in all...oh but wait the two older GD's are each bringing a friend!  So that makes 14.
We always look forward to Coeur d'Alene, we love the lake and all the activities, and then there is golfing for the guys and lots of relaxing and just having FUN with each other!

I do have a couple of posts that are ready to go, but other than those two, it will be quiet...no bringing pens or inks or stamps...I will have major withdrawals for sure and will be itching to get inky when I am back on July 14!

So I hope you all have a wonderful and SAFE 4th of July!

Heart Hugs!

Seize the Birthday ~ Nothing but Neutrals!

Yeah!  It is another Seize the Birthday Challenge !
This time around for our "toppings"  we are looking for
NOTHING BUT NEUTRALS.
I had several ideas and laid out a couple different designs...didn't realize how difficult it is to just use "neutrals!  *wink  Although I really do like how this card turned out using just plain neutrals without any "real" color!
My card base is PTI soft stone.  I embossed a WPlus9 lattice frame in white card stock.  I took PTI's Frilly flowers and die cut and stamped each of the three with PTI fine linen, kraft and soft stone inks.  The "happy" is a PTI die cut from Phrase Play #5 ~ die cut two times and glued together.  The birthday is stamped using PTI's Keep it Simple: Birthday collection.

I hope you will play along with this challenge, I am anxious to see all the different ways you come up with using neutrals for your birthday cards!
I was just thinking...neutrals would tend to lend themselves to "masculine cards", but nope...nothing like frilly flowers for a girl!!

Happy Day friends!

Merry Monday...Tag your It!

I used PTI Tag #5 and sponged a little blue distress ink around the edges.
I water colored the "ice rink" with Zig Clear Brush Ink, stamped that little penguin and hat and fussy cut it all.
My sentiment is from a Paper Smooches set called Swanky Dudes.
I had some random snowflake confetti that I added to the card.
The red pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn:  Snow Day
The Challenge is to create a card with a tag(s) on it!

A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear sequins to finish it off!

MIM # 214 Stamping with Neutrals

Dawn has a really pretty card video over at the
Stamping with Neutrals!
I stamped my background with Background Basics:  Tin types and then used a very tiny dot from Bold Bouquet for the little dot in the center.  I stamped the background with soft stone and the dot with dark chocolate stamped off once.
My flowers are from Frilly Flowers.
I used a sentiment from Keep it Simple:  Sympathy

I loved Dawn' background and now feel like I better buy that stamp!
Talk about enabling!!  * wink *

30 Day Color Challenge

I managed to find time to color in between sneezing and coughing this weekend.
I think I am now on the mend.
I love this Persian Motif from Altnew, I colored it up with copics, added a strip of washi tape on the side and stamped the sentiment from Love Labels an Altnew set also.
It really does help to color every day to get better...and to not forget, that is my problem!
This is for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge
over at the Daily Marker.

Color Throw Down # 345

Just sneaking in under the wire for a color
I thought the colors were so pretty
I used MFT: Poppy stamp set inked with PTI pure poppy and new leaf inks.
I made my wide stripes using PTI Super Stripes.
The sentiment is from Altnew: Label Love
Here are the colors for this challenge:

PPP WatercolorBlog Hop and the 30 day Coloring Challenge

I water colored this Altnew Stamp: Persian Motifs with the Zig Clear Real brush pens.
The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh the clear both 4mm and 6mm I bought the 6mm ones when I was in Seattle visiting my BFF...we went to Impress and I loaded up on some fun colors from PPP, I do think my favorites are the clear though!
Since I am not an artist, I find it easier for me to use one color and draw it out to get the shading.  So that is what I did here with these flowers and leaves.
The sentiment is a die from SSS.
I am joining in the fun over at Pretty Pink Posh with the Watercolor Blog Hop and also entering this in the 30 day Coloring Challenge.

Sieze the Birthday ~ ANIMALS

Are you ready to bring out some "critters" and make someone happy for their birthday?  Well our topping this time is all about "animals"!
I used Lil' Inkers stitched rectangle frames to make my frame and then stamped the sweet little paw prints all over it!  Don't you adore that cute little mouse as a wind up toy for the cat?  Hey I am just fine with wind up mice toys...it is the real ones I am not happy about having in my house!  And trust me, after we moved in we had plenty of them, I think we must have bulldozed their lodging, so they thought it would be okay to come inside...NOT!  I took care of that problem PRONTO...yes, ME!  My DH wouldn't touch the traps!

Please join us at Seize the Birthday
we would love to see all your critters!
stamps & die:  PTI: Cat's Meow
banner die: Keep it Simple die
frame:  Lil' Inkers Stitched rectangle frames

I wanted to show you all another card that my 11 (almost 12 year old) granddaughter made...she came up with the design herself and colored everything with copics...she is seriously good!  And she gave this card to one of her very best friends.  don't you love those party hats?  this certainly qualifies for the "critter"  challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Graduation Card and Coloring with Copics

I didn't play along with The 30 day Coloring Challenge last time, but really wanted to give a try this time around.
This is a digi print from Saturated Canary called Grad Girl 2015.
I have a granddaughter graduating from 8th grade...I don't think they have caps and gowns, but this was the closest I could come to a cute girlie grad card.
She has her dress already, and I believe it is a lilac color, which surprised her mom and me ...her favorite color is teal.
And of course the school colors are red, black and white...so I tried to incorporate those colors in the card.
It has been awhile since I colored hair and skin...need more practice!!

Saturated Canary digi stamp
PTI Wet Paint III die
PTI:  For the Graduate (versamark cap on red)
Impression Obsession thin Stripes
Assorted copics

Make it Monday # 213 Cool Condensation

Cool Condensation Effects on the card is the challenge this week over at the PTI blog.
Betsy is always so clever, I just want to copy her!
I used the same mason jar, just changed up the flowers!
The condensation and the "dew" drops on the flower show up really good in real life.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting!
Have a great week!
